Summer 1
Maths - Fractions and Decimals
Writing - Inspired by the book, 'The Lost Happy Endings', children will write a list poem and a persuasive letter.
Reading - Learning to summarise poetry and justify views, using evidence from the text to support thinking.
Science - Classifying Animals

Music - Hand-held percussion ensemble (Come and Play with the Halle)

- English 10 minute weekly workout
- Maths 10 minute weekly workout
- Daily timestables practice using TTRockstars. Weekly test on a Thursday in preparation for the National Year 4 Mutliplication Check. Children should be able to recall timestables up to and including 12x12 within 5 seconds.
- Spelling Shed (Weekly spellings and test given on a Tuesday)
- Daily Reading (Diary signed at least 4 times per week)
