Forest School at Bollington Cross
At Bollington Cross Primary School, we are lucky to have our own onsite woodland known as 'The Hollow'. The Hollow provides our children with awe inspiring outdoor learning opportunties ranging from bug hunting, storytelling, plant studies and more.
Currently, Reception and Year One pupils visit The Hollow every week to investigate, explore and connect with nature. Other year groups visit The Hollow at various points throughout the year to carry out learning activities.
Children in Year groups 2-6 also have the chance to attend weekly Forest School Club each Wednesday after school, run by qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader, Miss Purcell. At Forest School Club children have the opportunity to learn to cook over a campfire, use tools, play group games, craft and develop their knowledge of the natural world. ***Please note Forest School Club is currently full, please contact Miss Purcell to be put on the waiting list***
