At Bollington Cross Primary School, we are lucky to have our own onsite woodland known as 'The Hollow'. The Hollow provides our children with awe inspiring outdoor learning opportunties ranging from bug hunting, storytelling, plant studies and more.

Our Reception, Year One and Year Two pupils visit The Hollow to investigate, explore and connect with nature. Other year groups visit The Hollow at various points throughout the year to carry out learning activities.

Children in Year groups 3-6 also have the chance to attend Forest School Club each Thursday after school.  This is an extra curricular activity, booked directly with Mrs Sutherland (nee Miss Purcell).  Mrs Sutherland is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader.  At Forest School Club children have the opportunity to learn to cook over a campfire, use tools, play group games, craft and develop their knowledge of the natural world.
