Meet the Team

Mr Etherington - Class teacher

Homework

• English 10 minute weekly workout 
• Maths 10 minute weekly workout 
• Daily timestables practice using TTRockstars. Weekly test on a Thursday in preparation for the National Year 4 Mutliplication Check. Children should be able to recall timestables up to and including 12x12 within 5 seconds.
• Daily Reading (Diary signed at least 4 times per week)

Friday:  Swimming (every week)

              Forest School (every other week)

Equipment

Stationery is provided by school. Children do not need a pencil case but we may have 'pencil case sessions' where children are welcome to use their own stationery.

Units of Learning  - Autumn 1

Maths - Place value; Addition and subtraction

Writing - Inspired by the book, 'The  Whale', children will write a setting narrative with a grammar focus on sentence demarcation, fronted advebrials, and conjunctions.

Reading - Learning to makde predictiosn and infer; retreive information from a text; and summarise what has been read.

Science - The Digestive System

RE: How do beliefs shape people’s lives? How do they differ?

Geography - Where Does Our Food Come From?

Computing - Online Safety

Art- Creating Texture and Tone

Music - Drumming with a focus on rhythm, ensemble performance, instrumentation, and techinque.
