Pupil Wellbeing

The dictionary definition of wellbeing is 'the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy.'

'Resources' are your essential needs in order to thrive. These include:

  1. Self-awareness.
  2. Food, water and shelter.
  3. Health and vitality.
  4. Sense of purpose.
  5. Motivation and enthusiasm.
  6. Social support and community.

We are passionate and determined, at BCPS, to provide children with the experiences and support to learn to be reflective, resilient, resourceful and respectful young people. Resilience, in our eyes, means that children understand how to cope and where to get help and support, when they suffer an emotional knock in life. This includes opening up and discussing things that worry them and knowing who can best support them with their worries.

In order to further support parents, our intention is to build a body of resources - here on this page - as a place to seek some advice. This advice is not compulsary and not part of school policy. Some of it may work and some may not for your child, as every child is different.

If you happen to come across an insightful resource, which is aimed at supporting young people or parents, please send it into school. It may be a resource which could be added here. Thank you in advance for supporting your own and your child's wellbeing.

Any resources marked CV have been added during our school closure to support well-being. Please check back frequently to ensure you find any new resources posted.

Anti Bullying Resources

At Bollington Cross, we believe that no pupil should have to endure bullying of any form. It is improtant for every pupil's wellbeing that they are aware of what to do if they are being bullied. Below are some links for pupils and their parents to support speaking up and seeking the right support:
